The Importance of Learning to Learn

The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn. ~Alvin Toffler  (1990)

The 21st century is here and Alvin Toffler's statement has come true. Our students not only need to be able to read and write fluently, but they must know how to learn. They must know how to ask questions and discern meaning in a world where the amount of available information threatens to overwhelm them. I can help students strengthen their basic reading and writing skills and then apply those skills successfully in the the 21st century.
